Table for three please!

It has been birthday week in our house; Matt's on Thursday and mine today. What better way to celebrate than to go out for a family meal? We packed up a couple of jars of Millie's favorite foods, her bib and as many ways to distract her as possible and headed off to Frankie's Scaloppine for our 3.30pm reservation.
Whilst it was not the most relaxing dining experience we have ever had it wasn't too bad and despite a wooden highchair Millie made it through two courses. I think we'll look for a padded seat for her next time and then there might be an outside chance of making it to dessert!

Millie checks out the Jumperoo

Millie got this fancy Jumperoo for Christmas which was fun for a while, but now that she's a girl on the go she's not so interested in going in it. She does still enjoy exploring it from the other side though.

Bath Time!

Wasn't so long ago that Millie hated the bath, screamed the place down when she was in it and we thought that we would just have to put up with a very smelly daughter. Fortunately she came around and now little girl loves it. She's getting a bit big for her baby tub now, so pretty soon she'll be splashing around in the big bath.

Funny Rabbit

We love it when Millie finds something hilarious and laughs and laughs. This time she is finding the rabbit very amusing. Outfit notwithstanding - she looks like she's on the run from some sort of baby jail - this clip might be one of my all time favourites.

Keeping warm

Well the weather outside is frightful, but Millie was toasty warm inside. Here she is looking chic in her leg warmers as she pays homage to her brit roots. Thank you Annie!

Don't shoot the massager

Today we went to the first of two baby massage classes. The classes are for babies 3 weeks to crawling. This was Millie 20 minutes before we headed out to the class...



... so once M's new talents came to light in the classroom I wondered if we might be expelled. Instead of expulsion the teacher settled for relegating us to work on the floor. We rebounded quickly and got cracking with such new moves as effleurage and a spot of indian milking. However, M seemed more interested in chewing the strap on the mat than luxuriating in her Mum's new found massage skills.

New Years Eve

Heather, Dom and their one-year-old, Rhys (a much older man - nearly twice Millie's age) joined us on New Years Eve. They snapped this great pic of the babes - awwww.

Girl on the Go

Well Happy New Year. One of my new year resolutions (as you may have guessed) is to be a bit more prolific on the blogging front. So to that end here is some footage of our little girl from a couple of weeks ago. It's not quite crawling, but it is alarmingly close! Seems like we can't put the baby-proofing off any longer.

Millie and the giant penguin

We were suprised (but not as much as you might think) to receive an 8 foot tall inflatable penguin from Grammie. Daddy and Millie are dwarfed by him!

Spoon practice

It's going to take a lot more practice and I think she was using it primarily as a teether. However it does look promising - at least she has the right end of the spoon. Maybe one day I will give her the spoon with some food on it...
