Culture Vultures

A trip to the zoo was foiled by inclement weather, so instead we took advantage of free Tuesdays at the Museum of Contemporary Art. There was a great exhibit with lots of lights and colours, just the thing for a rainy Tuesday.

Pyjama Party

We have friends Stacey and Nuala staying with us at the moment. Millie and Nuala are just 9 days apart and so have been having fun playing together. This morning they managed to fit in a play before breakfast in their jimmer jammers.

All the way to 11...

Millie turned 11 months old today. And with great blue sky and sunshine it was down to the swings again. I love this pic of her, she looks like she is already getting in practice for her teenage sneer!

Happy Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was a big hit. Matt executed Millie's instructions to a T and I was spoiled rotten. It was worth the nearly year long wait! We walked along the lake and back through Lincoln Park. Millie had fun on the grass.

Friday Commuting

It was a nice day today so Millie and I walked to Matt's work to pick him up and then we all walked home together. Matt carried Millie most of the way home (which she loved) until I succumbed to a frozen yogurt temptation which necessitated two hands and couldn't push the stroller any more.

Park Buddies

We found a new park, Goudy Square Park, to visit half way between us and friends Dominique and Thomas, so this time Millie had company on the swings. Think we'll be regular fixtures over the summer, in fact we're hoping to meet up with them again this afternoon!

Millie Takes a Stand

In the past couple of days Millie's been getting braver at standing up without holding on for dear life. Watching this development we realise that we're nearing the end of the baby era and hurtling headlong in to the unchartered waters of toddlerdom. Just when we were beginning to get the hang of it too - drats!

Zoo again!

The weather was so nice today we headed up to the zoo again. It was such a nice walk I'm sure we'll become regular fixtures up there this summer. Here are Daddy and Millie hanging out by the flamingos.
