Matt's 2nd Father's Day

Millie was only 3 days old for Matt's 1st Father's Day and apart from a card there wasn't much fanfare. She made up for it this year though. First she took Daddy to the Drake for brunch...


Then we went for a stroll...


After naps (Millie and Daddy!) we went to the Beachstro and Millie fed Matt some cheerios - lucky Daddy!

Something Fishy

Free entrance at the Shedd Aquarium every day last week was too good to pass up. Millie and I headed down there on the bus on Friday and spent a few hours looking at beluga whales, sharks and otters among other things. We caught the water taxi back to Navy Pier on the way home. Here we are on the boat waiting for anchors away!

Feeling hot, hot, hot!

Looks like summer finally came to Chicago this week. Millie found the air conditioning switch and not a moment too soon! Seems like she'll get a chance to wear her summer clothes at last.

Millie and Rebecca

It was just last weekend that Rebecca, Auntie Susan and Uncle Jeremy were in Chicago with us. The cousins are getting a hug from Auntie Susan and look super cute in their matching outfits!


We hope it's not too long before we can all hang out again.

Dinner and Dancing

When it comes to dancing I have two left feet, but Millie shows some early promise. Here she is bopping along to some music at brunch last weekend. Girl's got rhythm!

Birthday Party

Am sure you, dear and patient reader, are aware that it has taken me over a week to post some pictures from the party. Well good things come to those who wait...

Millie had a great time at her 1st birthday party. We were joined by family and friends. We loved seeing everyone, thank you for coming and for all the lovely presents.

Nostalgia

It's been just over a week since Millie turned one, during which time Matt and I have been reminiscing and marvelling at how far we've all come. It seems incredible that Millie can now take a few steps, feed herself and "dance". We're buckling up and bracing ourselves for the next 12 months!

Birthday Parky

The past 12 months have been the best, most exhausting, rewarding time of our lives and we wouldn't have it any other way. Yesterday was Millie's birthday, a big milestone, we've all come a long way. Millie and her cousin Rebecca went to the park. They had a great time on the swings and hanging out on the climbing frame. Millie was very stylish in her tutu.

Food, fun and friends

Sadly Stacey and Nuala are back in San Francisco, but we had a great time while they were here. As well as going to the Art Museum the ladies also enjoyed some fine dining...
